Next to the creation of the performance The Future is not what it used to be Panama is busy developing an audiovisual installation: The Future is not what it used to be / Part One.

At Part One, visitors walk through the space one by one, facing five life-size projections. The compelling films bring you close to the performers and their world. A pulsating movement seems to be passed from screen to screen. Time is unstoppable and neither is movement.

The soundtrack, a strong partner of the images, consists of a mix of text fragments and a new exciting composition by regular composers Strijbos & van Rijswijk in collaboration with musician Davide Bellotta. The audio is set up and controlled in such a way that it provides a spatial experience for the visitor. The place where you stand determines what you hear.

With The Future is not what it used to be / Part One, Panama Pictures chooses a new, ‘coronaproof’ presentation form in which the content of the original performance is translated into movement, video and soundtrack in such a way that you are immersed in a new universe.
