Sammy Van den Heuvel studied architecture and scenography in Antwerp. After his studies he assisted Annette Kurz at the Thalia Theater Hamburg and Marina Abramović at Opera Ballet Vlaanderen. Since 2015 he has been creating his own scenographies for theater, dance and music theater, a.o. at the Luzerner Theater, Opera Ballet Vlaanderen, Theater Freiburg and the Center for Contemporary Opera New York.
